Training is the process of improving and polishing the required skills to an employee in order to make him / her skilled and perfectionist in the job he / she does. Training is solely job-focused, but development is oriented towards psychology and soft skills. Mostly we hear the word "training" for employee inducing abilities and expertise.

The distinction between training and development, but there is still little confusion in understanding the distinction. In fact, many organisations use the term "training and development" as one and the same. Both training and development are ongoing and key organisational tasks, but for a specific period of time worker training will be used to create abilities related to specific jobs. It will be provided periodically whenever the updating of the abilities required for the performance of a specific job and further training is intended for the purpose of developing technical abilities among staff.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES :-

The main goal of the division of training and development is to ensure the accessibility of a qualified and ready workforce to an organisation. In addition, there are four other goals: individual, organisational, functional, and social.

Individual Objectives –Helping staff achieve their personal objectives, which in turn enhances an organisation's individual contribution.
Organisational Objectives–Assist the organisation with its main goal by bringing individual efficiency.
Functional Objectives–Maintain the contribution of the department at a rate appropriate to the requirements of the organisation.
Societal Objectives – Ensure that an organisation is ethically and socially responsible for society's needs and challenges.
